Greetings and salutations!
I've got exciting news to share! As of this morning I am June's "Featured Artist" on SundayBrunchDress.com! How awesome is that?! I have a little interview along with six of my illustrations.
For those of you who are new to my blog I would like to say thanks so much for taking time to see what I'm up to and hope you like what you see.
Please feel free to stop by my shop for updates and new artwork.

Hi! I pitch in a bit with the Sunday Brunch blog sometimes and found you via Judy's feature. I had to say how much I enjoy your work! Your style reminds me of some other artists I also really like. Except that I can't remember any of their names right now. So I'm stuck at stupidly saying how great your work is. Which it is. Um, yeah.
ReplyDeleteOne thing though: On May 19, you wrote, "I guess nothing suggests 'Holidays' more than [...] girls in short shorts." Except that the context suggests irony. I'm confused.
Remembered one of the artist I couldn't name last time: Leonora Carrington. Some of her works are found here:

I love her style. To me, you and her evoke a similar surreal air of whimsy and melancholy, with perhaps a hint (only a hint!) of menace. Like the last glimpse of a good dream after you wake, one you try to hold long as possible, while the night's visions, dreaming and nightmare alike, blur and fade together.
